The guitar has dings and scratches over the body and the lacquer on the neck has worn through in places, but if it was prestine it wouldnt be right as these guitars. Ranges included YW, YM, YB in the Year, Mugen and Max variants.

In early 70's, ELK was only domestic brand for professional players. Not a bad guitar a little quiet, but pretty playable. This was my first experience with a luthier ironically I quit playing guitar 30 years ago because the action was awful the guitar was a Yamaki which sounded amazing but I would buzz my chords constantly, not knowing there was a cure!
